Wymeswold back to winning ways
Skipper Rob Pitman starred with the bat as he steered his Wymeswold side to an emphatic seven-wicket victory at home to Beeston and Toton in Division D of the South Notts Cricket League.
Pitman won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first in tricky conditions, with Dan Barry taking 2 for 48 as Beeston ended on 178 for 5 from 40 overs.
In reply, Rob Pitman opened the batting and hit an unbeaten 93, supported by Dom Warne with 40, as his side reached the victory target in the 36th over for the loss of three wickets.
Meanwhile in Division L of the league Wymeswold’s second team game at Basford Mill 2nd was cancelled due to rain on the Saturday morning.
